Upon arrival, our reservation was not honored, and the room smelled strongly of smoke and unpleasant odors despite the hotel's non-smoking policy. The bathroom was dirty, with mold in the shower. The most shocking discovery was finding large pieces of feces in the closet. After reporting this, the front desk showed little concern and processed a refund immediately. We had to find other accommodations, which turned out to be far better.

missingWrote a review on Nov 14convenient locationroom varietyage-related issues
The hotel's proximity to Arizona State University makes it a convenient spot for visiting events or activities on campus. Room variety caters to different needs, offering multiple configurations for guests.
Upon check-in, prepare for a surprise $100 hold on your credit card, which feels steep for a hotel of this caliber. The property shows its age with noticeable wear and tear, requiring a refresh to elevate the experience. Housekeeping's inconsistency leads to untidy rooms and a significant wait for essential services like towel replacement. Guests may encounter noise disturbances from other visitors, as well as inadequate breakfast options that barely satisfy.

Spacious Suites and Relaxing Pool
I really enjoyed the spacious two-room suites which provided a comfortable living area to unwind after exploring Tempe. The outdoor pool was refreshing and perfect for relaxing in the sun. However, the overall cleanliness, especially in communal areas, could use some improvement.

missingWrote a review on Oct 26proximity locationvariety roomscleanliness issues
The hotel offers proximity to Arizona State University, making it a convenient spot for visitors. Plus, the variety of room types gives a chance to find something that fits your needs.
Unfortunately, cleanliness is a significant concern here. Multiple guests noted pest problems, including cockroaches and evidence of bed bugs in their rooms. Some found old, dirty jeans in pull-out sofas, and the musty, smoke-scented rooms felt like neglect. Housekeeping appears inconsistent as reports of dirty bathrooms and linens were common complaints. Overall, it's tough to recommend a place that struggles with these basic standards.

Traveling with a large group, having all suites was a major advantage, providing ample space and amenities like a full-size refrigerator. The cleanliness of the rooms was impressive, especially with a group of teens. Breakfast and evening snacks were a pleasant touch, keeping everyone satisfied. However, the ongoing remodeling did create some minor disturbances, and the presence of bugs was noticeable, though expected in Arizona. This place has definitely become our go-to for future visits.
